Futurist manifesto or how to inhabit artificial intelligence/ Manifiesto

futurista o cómo habitar la inteligencia artificial

Aware of the social transformation brought about by Artificial Intelligence and its exponential development, Andreu questions how women will inhabit this new technological space. She publishes a feminist declaration emphasizing the need to continue fighting for equality and against gender violence, and warns of new forms of violence such as the potential technological and biological colonization of bodies.

Andreu appeared in the double-height hall of the La Neomudéjar Museum, emerging from a secluded room on the first floor, playing finger cymbals at random intervals. She walked along, reaching the lower level. The audience was spread across both levels.

Upon arriving at the lectern in the center of the hall, she put on her finger cymbals and took out the document containing the manifesto. She read it first, and then the four performers who participated in the action alongside her. These artists were distributed throughout the hall: in different corners, two on the upper floor and two on the lower floor.

The reading began in a canonical fashion, with introductory guidelines. The four performers, once they had read it at least once, distributed it to the audience who, if they wished, could join in the reading.

The action grew in intensity, with many different voices joining in until it reached its peak. From then on, both the interventions and the volume gradually decreased until silence fell. Andreu then, playing the castanets again, began the march to the first floor, and the sound faded away until it disappeared.

Forty numbered copies were distributed, which the attendees kept as a memento of the performance. The performers' copies bore the texts: “YOU SHALL NOT KILL, YOU SHALL NOT RAPE, YOU SHALL NOT COLONIZE OTHER BODIES,” which, once Andreu gave the opening cue, were recited whenever and however they wished. The manifesto was read on a loop.
