With the performance NO, Violeta Andreu addresses the issue of physical violence against women, which takes place inside and outside the home. The idea is to transmit the violent behaviors that a spouse exerts on the woman, to underline from the “no”, the behaviors that have to be rejected. The woman must be very clear that she is not alone and ask for help.
The artist identifies the cardboard with the minimal house and extends it to the concept of domesticity. The selected materials are a complete metaphor for these spaces and the entry and exit steps to them.
