SHALL WE IRON? / ¿PLANCHAMOS?

Video performance held on July 21, 2023, in Mas de Flor, Castellón, Spain. Beltrán and Andreu, through their bodies and by performing a domestic task like ironing, confirm their intention not to live their lives performing these tasks, imposed on women by society for centuries. In the words of professor and art theorist Marián López Fernández Cao, they subvert “[...] the positions codified by culture for women.”
