Summernight Walk
SUMMER NIGHT WALK
Sound art: electroacoustic music and the artist's voice.
Total duration: 5'02"
Movements: 1
Year: 2002
SUMMER NIGHT WALK premiered was at the 32nd International Festival of Electronic Music and Creations in Bourges, France, SYNTHEÈSE/00, Bourges 2002.
It was played for a month in the Edurne art Gallery in Madrid (C/Justiniano) in 2003, and there it was distributed as part of the CD IN THE ROOM. This CD was part, in turn, of the Violeta Andreu solo exhibition INHABITED SPACES.
SUMMER NIGHT WALK is conceived from recordings of street and bar sounds, liquid sounds and the artist's voice.
The work depicts the immediate space surrounding the house. It offers a view of the dwelling from the outside, which may form part of the route of entering and leaving. This space is also explored as an essential concept for understanding the home at a specific time of day and year: the beginning of night in summer.
