The house in visual artistic creation and its relationship with feminism (from 1970 to 2020)
The house in the visual artistic creation and its relationship with feminism (from 1970 to 2020)
This book analyzes the relationship between visual art practices based on the idea of home and feminism from the 1970s to 2020. It begins with a description of the development of the feminist movement that began during this period, as well as the artistic activity related to the home associated with it. This artistic activity and its ongoing connection to the movement are examined, delving into the importance of this relationship within artistic discourse. Subsequently, through an analysis based on creative concepts, the underlying causes of visual art creations on the idea of home by relevant artists of this period are explored. Throughout this analysis, a chronology is presented, visualizing artists, works, and social events, which expands as the book progresses. Finally, reflections and proposals are formulated to transform the current social model and achieve a more just and egalitarian society through this type of artistic creation.
