Organized by Violeta Andreu Mediero in the Call for Complementary Activities of the Vice Dean for Culture of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and in collaboration with the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum. Dissemination of the Doctoral Thesis The house in artistic creation
and its relationship with feminism (From 1970 to 2020)
The house united to women in artistic creation is proposed from
different approaches: Museum, Teaching, Research and Artistic
Creation, in order to explore the creative process from reflection and
practice. The general objective is to promote the importance of the
house, as a creative concept and a vehicle for dialogue and social
transformation, together with women.
Different approaches to the subject: the Museum, Teaching, Research
and Artistic Creation, within the Faculty of Fine Arts and in other
institutions. Speakers:
—Beatriz Fernández Ruiz, teacher and researcher, Department of Art
History at the Faculty of Fine Arts
—María Rosón Villena, professor and researcher of Art History at the
Faculty of Fine Arts, creator of the itinerary Making space or how to
wander from the disorientation of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte
Reina Sofía\ and two professionals from the Thyssen-Bornemisza
National Museum:
—Noelia Romero, graduate in Philosophy and Master in Contemporary
Thought, Selection of editorial content at the Museo Nacional
Thyssen-Bornemisza, creator of the theme tour A room of one’s
own. Indoor life from a gender perspective.
—Juan Ángel López Manzanares, Curator and Head of Contents at the
Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, as moderator.
